Work Environment

This position is onsite, providing hands-on interaction with patients in a homecare setting. You will work within a small team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a structured routine that allows ample time to focus on patient care without the burden of excessive overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to develop tailored care plans addressing their specific needs.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions, managing a reliable workload of approximately one patient per hour to ensure quality care and attention.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to enhance patients' movement, function, and overall well-being.
• Implement cost-effective treatment strategies that maximize patient outcomes while minimizing the reliance on medications and invasive procedures.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, assisting them in overcoming personal challenges associated with mobility and pain.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on observed outcomes and new patient information.
• Engage in ongoing communication with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and treatment goals.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient services and updates in compliance with healthcare standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients who have orthopedic conditions, requiring individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and improve functionality. The diverse patient demographics encourage a wide array of therapeutic approaches, requiring adaptability and creativity in your practice. Motivating and empowering patients to take charge of their rehabilitation journey will be an essential part of this role.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Must possess a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Clean professional record without any disciplinary actions against your license.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop individualized exercise programs for patients.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to document care efficiently and effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
