Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred by physicians to develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of their conditions.
• Implement evidence-based rehabilitation protocols tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient, promoting optimal recovery.
• Document progress and adjust treatment methodologies as necessary, ensuring consistent communication with healthcare providers.
• Provide therapeutic exercise and modalities, educating patients on their conditions while encouraging self-management strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Joint Physical Therapy serves a diverse patient population, focusing primarily on orthopedic cases but also including pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• Valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in computer applications and word processing to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ability to build rapport with patients, fostering effective treatment relationships.

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor's degree is required, candidates with additional certifications such as orthopedic specialty certification or experience in outpatient therapy settings are preferred. Previous experience in managing diverse patient populations and knowledge of advanced manual therapy techniques will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
