Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observation techniques.
• Create individualized therapy plans that not only cater to immediate goals but also prioritize long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on various aspects such as language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, promoting seamless care across the patient's journey.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to professional growth by engaging in continuing education and collaborating with fellow professionals.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY) required for candidates not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
