Description

• Assess a diverse range of patients from children to older adults using standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate targets while considering long-term communication and swallowing necessities.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, fluency, language skills, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate closely with an array of health professionals, including PTs, OTs, nurses, and family members, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to support development beyond sessions.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
• Keep thorough documentation that meets all relevant guidelines and requirements.
• Engage in professional growth by staying updated with the latest in the field and participating in peer discussions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
