Bookkeeper

BookkeeperWe're seeking a Bookkeeper to join our Business Outsourcing Team. You will form a key part of our growing outsourcing offering and will assist the senior management team in ensuring that our outsourced finance, VAT advisory and management reporting function meets and exceeds our client expectations. Our aim is to support client decision making and enhance our outsourcing offering. The role is client facing and will involve bookkeeping data entry preparation of management accounts to a high standard on our cloud-based systems. This is a permanent role to be based at either our Edinburgh, Stirling or Kirkcaldy office, with office attendance expected to be 4 days per week – speak to your recruiter for more details.As Bookkeeper your responsibilities will include among others:Working with our OMB/SME private companies on site, remotely or at our offices. Building and maintaining good relationships with a wide range of clientsIdentifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the client baseProcessing Sales and Purchase OrdersPreparation of VAT returns for a range of clientsReconciliation of key balance sheet control accountsVAT administrative duties including VAT registrations, de-registrations and other HMRC communications as necessaryReview, analysis and interpretation of the management informationTo be successful in this role, you should:Possess a passion for accuracy and attention to detailPossess excellent communication and planning skillsDemonstrate experience of working with a portfolio of clientsAbility to work with internal and external stakeholdersBe solution focussed with a client centred outlookHave experience with cloud-based accountancy packages particularly Xero, SAGE, Quickbooks and Dext, Free AgentDemonstrate knowledge in key VAT areas including DRC, land and property, partial exemption and international transactionsHave understanding with regards to CISAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
