Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist the Controller with financial reporting and related accounting activities.
• Process daily accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices and verify accuracy.
• Record customer payments and monitor outstanding balances.
• Follow up on past-due invoices and support collection efforts.
• Prepare weekly AR aging reports with commentary for the Controller.
• Code and enter vendor invoices, ensuring proper expense allocation.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and invoice files.
• Coordinate accounts payable check runs to ensure timely vendor payments.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work with ERP and HRIS systems and accurately maintain financial and business records.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand broader business needs.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally medical device manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Paylocity HRIS, IQMS ERP, and QuickBooks.
• Experience supporting multiple business entities and performing both transactional and general accounting functions.
