Edge Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team on a full-time basis in our rehabilitation center located in West Hempstead, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in home care settings, assessing their needs, physical capabilities, and therapeutic goals.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercise, manual therapy, and the use of assistive devices to alleviate discomfort and promote mobility.
• Document treatment sessions meticulously, tracking patient responses and progress to adjust care plans accordingly.
• Regularly reevaluate patient progress and redefine treatment goals to ensure continuous improvement.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper physical therapy techniques, assistive modalities, and strategies to enhance recovery.
• Stay current in the field by attending professional workshops and engaging in continuing education opportunities, contributing to personal and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on children and individuals with special needs who require therapeutic intervention in a home environment. As a Physical Therapist at Edge Physical Therapy, you will work closely with a diverse group of patients, developing tailored treatment plans that facilitate mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Valid state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
• Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate varying patient needs and schedules.

Preferred Experience

• While previous experience is a plus, we welcome new graduates and will provide mentorship.
• Experience working with pediatric or special needs populations is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
