Warehouse SupervisorThe Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC and offers stevedoring and break bulk services. The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners.The Warehouse Supervisor directly oversees a growing labor force and all front-line warehouse operations while also being able to perform the essential job functions of a warehouseman. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and is accountable for staff efficiency and performance, while ensuring adherence to company standards and regulations.Full TimeNon ExemptPrimary Responsibilities:Trains warehouse personnel in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safe work practicesManages inventory, counts and audits of all warehouse productsLiaises with shipping office, drivers, customers and warehouse personnel to ensure process efficiencyConfers with other warehouse supervisors and managers to coordinate activities within the warehouseUpdates warehouse manager on daily activitiesMaintains warehouse storage area by organizing floor space and maximizing work flowPractices OSHA standards and ensures that all safety procedures are followedEssential Job Functions:Operate ForkliftIdentifying damaged goods that have been brought into the warehouse and removing as necessaryIdentifying damaged boxes brought into the warehouse and repackage as necessaryAble to lift 50+ poundsPreferred, but not necessary:Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Experience handling container cargo (i.e. jockey truck, yard truck, top pick, etc.)Completing pre-shift inspection on Jockey truck including bending, walking, grasping.Driving truck with materials from dock to storage area.Knowledge and Skill Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to closely supervise and motivate personnelKnowledge of warehouse and logistics operations preferredVisibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.Ability to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)Work Conditions:This position is in a refrigerated warehouse facility and involves exposure to widely varying temperature ranges, as well as to all environmental weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
