Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site access requirements. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions and reporting security‑related concerns in a timely manner. Support security‑related operations within an industrial location by helping to control restricted area access, following hazardous area protocols, and maintaining accurate activity logs and reports. Minimum Requirements At least 2 years of security‑related experience is required. A TSA‑issued TWIC is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
