Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that resonate with clients' personal goals and therapeutic preferences, applying a tailored approach to each case.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address and alleviate symptoms.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, providing resources on treatment options and promoting self-care practices.

• Monitor and track client progress, adapting treatment plans as needed in response to any changes in symptoms or circumstances.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer integrated care, enhancing the overall effectiveness of client treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT, you will provide support primarily to individuals facing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will work with diverse populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, addressing varied emotional challenges and needs. Your expertise will help clients navigate their journeys toward recovery, fostering resilience and promoting mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
