Key Responsibilities\n

• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with clients, fostering an environment conducive to open communication and personal growth.

• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and guide the development of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique situation.

• Provide therapeutic counseling services, including individual and group therapy sessions that address issues related to anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and other mental health concerns.

• Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with other professionals in the organization to ensure comprehensive care, including making referrals to specialists as needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your counseling services will primarily focus on diverse individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds who are seeking support for both minor and major mental health issues. This role requires sensitivity to the unique cultural and social dynamics present in our client base, as well as the ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to best serve those needs.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold an active, unencumbered license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related mental health field is required, ensuring a solid foundation in therapeutic principles and practices.

• Experience delivering individual or group therapy within a clinical setting, demonstrating competency in navigating various therapeutic modalities.

• Exceptional organizational skills and effective time management abilities to handle caseloads and administrative responsibilities efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with families experiencing conflict or stress related to transitions such as divorce, loss, or significant life changes.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), or Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Prior involvement in community outreach or program development that enhances mental health services and awareness.

Compensation and Benefits\n
