Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Dover, DE

Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the Dover, Delaware area for the 2022-2023 academic year. Make a notable impact by helping children overcome challenges related to speech impairments, ensuring they reach their full potential in learning and communication.

Your responsibilities will involve:

Assessing and determining student eligibility for services addressing articulation/phonology, voice disorders, fluency, and language.
Conducting thorough reviews of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), along with initial and re-evaluations as needed.
Delivering individualized and group therapy sessions to a caseload of approximately 55 elementary students.
Collaborating with teachers and parents to provide advice on strategies and techniques to address communicative difficulties, ensuring student needs are met effectively.
Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to school and district policies.

The ideal candidate brings:

Current Delaware State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Experience or strong interest in working within pediatric and school environments.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
A collaborative approach, with willingness to supervise or assist as needed.
