Fixed Asset Accountant

Spectrum Search is teaming with a large energy company in the DFW area to fill a Fixed Asset Accountant role. This role does require the employees to be onsite 5 days a week. Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate project documentation to ensure expenditures are appropriately classified in accordance with company capitalization policies and accounting standards. Monitor capital project activity and collaborate with operational teams to ensure assets are placed into service accurately and on a timely basis, with proper classifications and useful life assignments. Partner with field and project personnel to verify the accuracy of project-related costs and support the timely completion and capitalization of fixed assets. Maintain fixed asset records, including asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation across multiple entities and reporting frameworks. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes through reconciliations, roll-forward schedules, variance analysis, and financial reporting activities. Prepare recurring and ad hoc capital expenditure reports for management and business stakeholders. Assist with internal and external audit requests, including compliance and controls-related documentation. Provide support for regulatory reporting requirements, financial reviews, and inquiries from auditors or governing agencies, as applicable.
