Transportation Coordinator

Job Opportunities Current Job Openings for the Town of Hingham. Status : Part-time, 28-hours per week, benefitted, non-union Grade : 2 Salary Range : $27.97 to start and progressing to $37.76 per hour through annual step increases. Duties : Working under the general direction of the Director of Elder Services, the employee oversees and administers the transportation program for the Center for Active Living. Work includes receiving and processing transportation requests; placement, supervision and evaluation of volunteer van drivers; supervision and evaluation of paid drivers; substitute driving when necessary; coordinates and schedules maintenance of vehicles. Submits usage reports to Director and grantors as required. Requirements Knowledge of Management and training of volunteers Skill in Communication, customer service and organization Computer programs and applications (Excel, Word, email) Ability to Interact effectively with the elder population. Respond appropriately to complaints with professionalism and courtesy Interact with the public in a professional and tactful manner. Work as part of a team Work while being interrupted Learn and become proficient with the Elder Services’ database system. Special Requirements Valid driver's license, ability to pass a background check, including, but not limited to, CORI and driving record checks. Willingness to complete additional trainings as required by local, state, and federal regulations.
