A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking a Director, Legal & Regulatory Corporate Governance to support its Real Estate practice. This role sits at the intersection of legal, investment governance, data, and operations, with significant exposure to senior investment and corporate stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

\n

\n
• Lead the Investment Committee process for the Real Estate Group, including transaction submissions, classification and routing, agendas, committee materials, follow-up, and resolution of complex issues.
\n
• Partner with investment, legal, finance, operations, and technology teams to ensure transactions move efficiently through internal governance processes.
\n
• Develop and maintain governance frameworks, policies, precedents, and training materials related to investment and transaction processes.
\n
• Own the Data Governance program across transaction, investment, property, and master data, including data ownership, entity structures, investment vehicles, and escalation processes.
\n
• Evaluate opportunities to improve legal and governance processes through AI, automation, analytics, and workflow technology .
\n
• Support enterprise risk matters and investment-related legal and regulatory issues, including policy development and interpretation.
\n
• Provide legal support on complex transactions, corporate structures, commercial agreements, and select transaction negotiations.
\n
• Serve as a senior cross-functional partner on matters involving legal entities, governance, risk, and operational processes.

What We’re Looking For

\n

\n
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission to a U.S. state bar.
\n
• 5+ years of legal experience at a leading law firm, investment firm, financial institution, or comparable organization.
\n
• Experience with M&A, private equity, real estate transactions, investment funds, financing transactions, or complex corporate matters .
\n
• Strong understanding of corporate and legal entity structures and transaction governance.
\n
• Experience working with senior stakeholders across legal, investment, finance, operations, or technology functions.
\n
• Strong judgment and ability to interpret policies, identify risk, and navigate complex issues.
\n
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project-management skills.
\n
• Interest in legal operations, data governance, AI, and process automation is highly valued.
