Leads negotiations and contracting using structured processes, while partnering cross-functionally to define material, quality, and service requirements.Manages supplier performance through KPIs and scorecards, identifies and qualifies new sources, and leverages market intelligence to anticipate pricing and supply trends. Optimizes processes, controls costs, and drives efficiencies through enterprise resource planning systems and analytics.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Category LeadershipOwn category performance across cost, service, quality, and riskDevelop and execute sourcing strategies across hard parts, vehicle systems, eCommerce, and batteriesDrive total cost of ownership through supplier optimization, consolidation, and should-cost analysisMonitor market dynamics and adjust strategies proactivelySupplier & Commercial ManagementLead sourcing, negotiations, and contract executionBuild strategic supplier partnerships and manage performance (on time in full, quality, cost)Mitigate risk through dual sourcing and continuity planningPlanning & Inventory OversightOversee forecasting, material requirements planning, and replenishment across manufacturing, projects, and eCommerceBalance service levels, inventory investment, and supply riskSupport escalation on shortages and critical delaysTeam LeadershipLead and develop buyers/plannersDrive accountability, execution discipline, and capability buildingCross-Functional PartnershipPartner with Operations, Engineering, Field Services, eCommerce, and FinanceSupport product launches and commercial initiativesBusiness ImpactOwn multi-million-dollar spend and deliver cost and margin improvementsImprove inventory turns, working capital, and supplier performanceEnsure alignment across contracts, pricing, and enterprise resource planningBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field10+ years of sourcing/procurement experience, including 1–3 years in leadershipExperience managing complex, multi-channel categories (industrial, project-based, or high-SKU/eCommerce)Strong track record in supplier negotiations, cost modeling, and risk managementExperience leading or mentoring teamsProficiency in enterprise resource planning/materials resource planning systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel/analytics (BI tools a plus)Solid understanding of logistics, fulfillment, and landed costAssociation for Supply Chain Management Certified in Planning and Inventory Management/ Certified Supply Chain Professional (APICS CPIM / CSCP)Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)Proven experience managing complex, multi-channel categories, including: Battery or regulated product categories.Physical demands: talking, hearing, sitting, walking, reaching, etc.Mental Demands: Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex or varied tasks, relate to others, influence people, make decisions, direct, control, plan, interact with public or coworkers in written form, communicate orally, etc.Environmental demands: This job operates in a professional office environment as well as remote. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous material when in our warehouse facilities.The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $118,505 and $150,949 annually.
