SOC engineer

Immediate need for a talented SOC Engineer . This is a 06+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite) . Please review the job description below. Job ID: 26-25247 Pay Range: $70 - $80/hour. Key Responsibilities: Note- The resource will be in direct touch with Business teams Work with Information Security stakeholders to identify priority security questions needing measurement and analysis Recommend suitable metrics for each priority question Coordinate with functional owners to determine relevant data sources and requirements for producing metrics Evaluate available data for fitness, and inform domain or data source owners when data maturity, availability, or quality falls short Partner with Data Engineers, Analysts, and other team members to deliver and maintain metrics through a web portal Develop comprehensive knowledge of processes and objectives across multiple Information Security domains to ensure metrics align with operational realities Apply rigorous and repeatable quality standards to metric development, especially when centralized data governance is lacking Present metrics and insights clearly to stakeholders and senior leaders Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Must have skills: - "SOC", "Security Operations" Over 7 years of direct experience in information security & analytics, ideally in senior or leadership roles Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate complex topics to senior leaders Adapt quickly to changing priorities to meet business needs Lead data investigations and analysis projects in situations with ambiguous requirements Strong understanding of formal research methods and reporting Our client is a leading Retail Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
