About the Position:
Are you a retail enthusiast with a flair for brand activation? We are searching for a Marketing Planning and Activation Manager to join our dynamic team. In this key position, you will play a central role in devising our marketing strategies and lead them through to activation with our broad base of guests. You will be a master of engagement, crafting omnichannel plans that lead to conversion and will leverage your expertise to ensure that our marketing plans are not just creative but also aligned with our business objectives and brand values. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, utilizing your deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscapes to develop plans that capture attention at every touchpoint.
This role will report to the Director of Marketing Planning and Activation.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Marketing Planning: Collaborate closely with the Merchandising department to understand key product initiatives, promotions, and seasonal campaigns, and develop comprehensive marketing plans to support them. This includes defining target audiences, setting measurable objectives, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and outlining budget allocations.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute the marketing Go-to-Market plan, outlining key priorities, initiatives, and events within departments, writing creative briefs and managing timelines and deliverables, acting as a facilitator across teams
- In-Store Activation: Deploy a connected set of tactics to bring marketing plans to life in-store, ensuring seamless integration with visual merchandising. Focus on creating a compelling and consistent brand experience for customers
- Brand Marketing: Manage branding and day to day marketing for Meal Solutions, Private Label and Story Telling brand pillars, conveying strategic vision, consumer insights and product/concept benefits for high impact messaging.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate across marketing teams (e.g., digital marketing, creative, loyalty) to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing campaigns that maximize impact and reach.
- Performance Analysis: Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing regular reports on key metrics and making recommendations for optimization.
Qualifications:
At a minimum, what you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on retail marketing planning and activation. Experience in the grocery or specialty food industry is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive sales and traffic
- Strong understanding of retail marketing principles, including in-store merchandising, digital marketing, loyalty and PR
- Experience in retail media is essential. Significant recent shopper marketing or trade marketing may be considered
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Drive for constant optimization
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building strong relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA preferred.
