Company Description Couples Therapy Services is a group counseling practice with offices in Princeton and Manalapan, New Jersey. The practice focuses on supporting couples with compassionate, research-informed, and affirming care. Services are offered in person and via online counseling to clients across New Jersey, increasing accessibility and flexibility. The team is dedicated to helping clients build healthier relationships, improve communication, and navigate life transitions. Couples Therapy Services values collaboration among clinicians and a warm, supportive environment for both clients and staff. Role Description This part-time (with option to move into full-time) on-site clinical therapist role is based in Princeton, NJ or Manalapan, NJ. The therapist will provide couples therapy that is evidence-based. Daily responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering ongoing counseling sessions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The role involves collaborating with other clinicians in the practice, participating in case consultations, attending monthly in-person meetings, and offering continuity of care by working with clients' outside providers. The therapist will also engage in regular communication with clients regarding scheduling, treatment progress, and referrals, while upholding ethical and professional standards. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Relationship Counseling and Family Therapy to support couples and families through relational challenges. Strong Counseling and Psychology skills to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and use appropriate therapeutic modalities. Expertise in Mental Health care, including identifying symptoms, managing risk, and coordinating care when higher levels of support are needed. Master’s or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Active New Jersey clinical license (e.g., LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent) or eligibility for licensure within the state. Experience working with couples, parents, and blended families, preferably in an outpatient setting. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
