Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A remote opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education to provide telehealth services. This contract role involves delivering targeted support to a third-grade student through virtual sessions.

Location: Remote, with services provided to a student based in Lewistown, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct telehealth sessions tailored to the needs of a third-grade student with hearing differences.
• Collaborate with the student’s interpreter to ensure clear communication and effective learning.
• Deliver a minimum of two hours of direct instructional services weekly, structured in 30-minute sessions.
• Develop and implement individualized teaching strategies that support the student's educational goals.
• Maintain accurate records and communication related to student progress and session effectiveness.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
• Demonstrated experience in virtual instruction and telehealth service delivery.
• Strong understanding of educational needs and accommodations for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a virtual environment.
