Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A remote teaching opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to provide telehealth services. This role is focused on delivering specialized support to a 3rd-grade student through virtual or onsite sessions, ensuring accessibility and tailored educational assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individualized instructional sessions for a 3rd-grade student with hearing impairments.
• Utilize telehealth platforms or onsite settings to deliver 30-minute sessions with a minimum commitment of 2 hours.
• Collaborate effectively with the student’s interpreter to enhance communication and learning outcomes.
• Monitor student progress and modify teaching strategies to meet specific needs.
• Maintain detailed records of sessions and communicate updates as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing.
• Experience providing telehealth educational services is preferred.
• Strong understanding of instructional techniques suited for deaf and hard of hearing students.
• Ability to work remotely with reliable technology setup.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in coordinating with interpreters and other support personnel.

• Remote work based in State College, PA, with options for virtual or onsite interaction depending on needs.
