This role is vital in driving our project success across a range of sectors, including high-rise and mid-rise multifamily, affordable housing, commercial office, and retail TIs. You will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in electrical design to create effective and sustainable solutions, with a focus on integrating energy-efficient designs and ensuring compliance with local codes and policies.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport plumbing design for various project types and deliver projects across multiple delivery models, including design/bid/build, design assist, and design build.Design plumbing systems, including calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads.Coordination of water, gas, and sewer connections with civil engineers and architectsDevelop project specifications and perform site evaluations.Attending meetings with clients and project teams.Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.Review of project submittals for product data and shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and engage with contractors to find creative solutions during Construction Administration.Establishing design standards and criteria for projects, preparing calculations, reports, and specificationsPerforming fire suppression system selection, preparing preliminary designs, and creating performance specifications.Proactively enhance technical quality by staying updated with emerging technologies, evolving building codes, and advancements in the industry.Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents, ensuring cohesive design strategies and solutions.Engage in the development of tools and templates.Manage projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and adherence to quality control processes.Basic QualificationsMinimum: 5-7 years' experience in plumbing engineering within the construction industryProficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Office products5+ years' experience modeling plumbing systems & compiling construction documents in RevitExperience with UPC Appendix M Peak Water Demand CalculationsMinimum of 2-5 years' experience with Seattle, King County, and WA building codesMust be located within the Seattle area to support in person meetings as needed (Hybrid once physical office has been identified)Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or similar related field of study, or equivalent work experience.Expert knowledge of Washington State and Seattle codes, sustainable design, and heat pump water heating system design.Experience designing and coordinating heat pump water heating systems.Experience designing and coordinating rainwater/greywater harvesting systems.CPD or CPDT is preferred.FE/EIT or PE license is preferred.LEED AP is preferred.Note: Preferred Qualifications are things which are desirable, but not required; all candidates who meet the Basic Qualifications are encouraged to apply
