CNC Machine Operator

Machine OperatorWe are currently hiring a reliable and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our team in a high-volume industrial steel fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy-duty machinery used in the processing and fabrication of structural and industrial steel components. This role is essential to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency throughout the production process.Key Responsibilities:Operate fabrication machinery such as CNC plasma/laser cutters, press brakes, drill lines, saws, beam lines, and shears.Load and unload raw materials and finished parts using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.Read and follow blueprints, job orders, and work instructions to produce parts to specification.Monitor machine performance, inspect finished parts, and make minor adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.Work closely with the machine programmer to ensure files and setup parameters are correctly followed.Perform routine maintenance checks, clean equipment, and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.Accurately complete production logs, quality control records, and time tracking.Adhere to all company safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Support team members with general shop tasks and assist in other fabrication areas as required.Required Qualifications:Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments (calipers, tape measures, squares), and material handling equipment.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding industrial environment.Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication industries.Forklift or crane operation certification.Familiarity with CNC controls and basic troubleshooting.Physical Requirements:Stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.Lift and maneuver heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) with or without assistance.Work in conditions involving noise, heat, sparks, and exposure to steel dust and grease.
