Staffing Coordinator

A growing home healthcare provider is looking for a Staffing Coordinator to join their team. This is a role for someone who likes to be in the middle of the action, who takes pride in keeping things running, and who genuinely cares that the people relying on home care get the coverage they need without gaps or disruptions.

This is a full-time, in-office position in Brooklyn. You'd own your own caseload and act as the central point of coordination between patients, home health aides, nurses, and the internal teams that keep everything moving. The pace is quick and the day is rarely predictable, so this suits someone who stays calm when plans change and gets satisfaction out of solving the puzzle in front of them.

Primary Duties:

• Reviewing your caseload each morning to spot open shifts, coverage gaps, and staffing risks before they become problems
• Managing last-minute changes like callouts, cancellations, and absences, and lining up replacements quickly
• Coordinating start-of-care for new patients so services begin on time and accurately
• Matching caregivers to patient needs and preferences, and running mini-onboardings for new assignments
• Monitoring attendance throughout the day and checking in on shifts early to catch issues at the start, not after the fact
• Keeping every shift compliant and within authorized hours
• Handling daily prebilling resolutions, scheduling documentation, and accurate record-keeping
• Communicating clearly and promptly with patients and families about any service changes
• Reporting incidents, falls, and service concerns right away and documenting everything thoroughly

Qualifications:

• A strong communicator, written and verbal, who stays professional and composed even in difficult or sensitive conversations
• A quick, confident problem-solver who can make good decisions under time pressure
• Someone highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple schedules and shifting priorities at once
• Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of a caseload and its outcomes
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft 365, and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
• Experience with scheduling or care management platforms like HHAeXchange or Salesforce is a strong plus
• Prior experience in home care, healthcare coordination, or high-volume scheduling will help you hit the ground running
