Senior Marketing Operations Manager, Process and AI

Role Description

Skillsoft is seeking an experienced Sr. Marketing Operations Manager, Process + AI to develop and oversee the implementation of an agentic AI roadmap for the marketing organization. This role involves:

• Identifying, prioritizing, and scaling high-impact AI capabilities that improve marketing operations.
• Defining what gets built, where it lives across the MarTech stack, and how it scales across teams.
• Establishing AI project governance as a core operating capability.
• Designing, refining, and governing marketing processes and the operating model.
• Balancing rapid time-to-impact with a long-term strategic approach.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Use Case Strategy & Roadmap
  • Own the marketing agentic AI roadmap end-to-end.
  • Identify, define, and shape the highest-priority AI use cases for marketing.
  • Define and apply frameworks for assessing the scaled value and impact of AI capabilities.
  • Distinguish between controlled and exploratory AI use cases.
  • Build and implement agentic workflows, automations, or AI-enabled solutions.
• Solutions Framing & Technical Partnership
  • Act as the strategic bridge between marketing teams and technical partners.
  • Pressure-test proposed solutions for feasibility and long-term relevance.
  • Stay ahead of AI innovations and influence the marketing agentic roadmap direction.
• Process Design & Governance
  • Design, document, and govern marketing processes and standards.
  • Establish and run AI project governance for marketing.
  • Own documentation and lifecycle management for marketing AI and operational processes.
• Change Management & Enablement
  • Champion change management and enablement for new capabilities.
  • Shape AI-powered workflows for intuitive adoption.
  • Develop playbooks and enablement materials for effective AI use.
  • Establish feedback loops with end users for planning and optimization.
• Future-Facing Perspective
  • Maintain a forward-looking view of emerging AI capabilities.
  • Exercise sound judgment about testing and applying new capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in marketing operations with a focus on process and technology.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in marketing operations, business systems, process optimization, and governance.
• Strong understanding of marketing team dynamics and technology stacks.
• Prior experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Asana, HockeyStack, and/or 6Sense.
• Ability to translate between business needs and technical teams.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity with sound judgment.
• Curiosity and confidence to explore new technologies, especially agentic AI.
• Experience establishing governance models for AI/MarTech work.
• Experience in change management and guiding teams through transitions.
• Exceptional communication skills to influence across disciplines.
• Verifiable experience designing, building, and operationalizing agentic marketing solutions.

Requirements

• Target base salary range: $145,000 - $155,000 annualized.
• Enterprise benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.
• Company may modify salaries and salary ranges as necessary.
