Resident Manager

About the Kent The Kent is a collection of elegantly appointed condominium residences on the Upper East Side. Responsibilities The Resident Manager is a supervisory position and acts as a liaison between residents and Extell Management Services Inc. The Resident Manager exercises effective judgment and decision making in the oversight of daily building operations. Daily duties include repairs and maintenance of property equipment, ensuring property cleanliness, planning emergency procedures, monitoring security and fire suppression systems, coordinating with building retail for shared system maintenance, and managing vendor and contractor work. The Resident Manager performs regular walkthroughs to identify and address issues, manages amenity spaces, orders and distributes supplies, oversees move‑in/out coordination, supervises and directs building staff, ensures compliance with company, 32BJ, and building policies, and oversees staff training, scheduling, and payroll responsibilities. The Resident Manager assists management in drafting, finalizing, and monitoring the annual building budget. The role requires on‑site residency, 24/7 availability for emergencies, and independent resolution of resident or staff issues. Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective ability to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, the Equal Employment Opportunity, Fair Housing and Human Rights statutes, and 32BJ Union Guidelines. High school diploma or GED and a vocational/technical background. A minimum of 5 years working with electrical, mechanical, plumbing equipment and systems. Luxury hotel or residential background. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex operational matters daily. Facilities and operations experience with solid knowledge of building systems. Prior experience with BMS (Building Management Systems, BuildingLink, and Yardi) is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of painting and finishing work. Strong background in working with fire, life, health, and safety systems. Effective judgement and decision-making. A working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Windows, Yardi etc. Effective supervisory skills with 5 years’ experience managing luxury building staff. Compensation & Benefits Annualized Base Salary: $125,000-$175,000. Comprehensive benefits package to include health insurance, retirement, and time off benefits.
