Utility Position - Milwaukee, WI: Shift hours: Shifts include 12‑hour shifts and 3rd shift with variability for off‑shifts when needed. Plant operates 24/7, requiring overtime, weekends, and holidays. All shifts are scheduled on a 2‑2‑3 pattern (on‑shift 2 days, off‑shift 2 days, on‑shift 3 days). 2nd shift: 3 PM – 11 PM 12‑2 schedule 3rd shift: 11 PM – 7 AM 12‑2 schedule 12‑hour shifts: Night crew: 7 PM – 7 AM Pay: $23.08 per hour Benefits: 15 days (120 hours) vacation annually and 11 paid holidays Great paid time off benefits 401(k) match Health insurance—including medical, dental and life And much more! What your day will look like: Assist with production by transporting bins, pallets, etc. as required. Rework product and packages that do not meet quality standards. Engage in continuous improvement projects by identifying opportunities for process enhancements, efficiency gains, and cost reduction. Work and communicate professionally within a team‑oriented environment. Train other utility team members with less experience. Clean plant areas not assigned to others. Perform required sanitation as outlined in work orders or SSOPs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by sweeping product and debris such as box bands, film, tape, etc. Maintain compliance with 5S standards and ensure powered industrial equipment is inspected and qualified with all quality, safety and GMP standards. Complete additional work assignments as directed by the Cell Leader or Team Leader. Be flexible to work any shift or weekend hours as needed. Operate an electric bin lift, walking with an arm extended behind the back and maneuvering bins on wheels for short periods. This position requires knowledge in operational, mechanical, sanitation, quality, and safety categories. Equipment Used: Electric pallet jack, WAVE, counting and incremental conveyors, product delivery system, forklift, forklift clamp truck. Sanitation materials such as paper towels, green scrubbies, scrub bucket, scraper (non‑food contact), broom, mop, and mop bucket. What you have to offer: High school diploma or GED. Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred. Ability to solve procedural problems within well‑defined standards using learned responses. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, and Maximo CMMS. Ability to understand and troubleshoot basic electrical circuits and willingness to learn additional electrical skills. Physical requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs. Perform physical tasks for extended periods including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting. Climb and/or work at heights using stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms. Wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, hair/beard net and gloves when required. Adhere to grooming requirements for a food manufacturing environment. Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental conditions. Work around high‑speed moving machinery.
