For more information, visit our website: Position Details This full-time unrepresented position is exempt from civil service and a member of the Boards Program. The Boards Program Coordinator coordinates all aspects of the agency's board operations and provides administrative support and project management support that keeps the boards organized in meeting agency deadlines and ensuring actions are taken and issues are moving forward promptly. Work Location The Partnership offers a modern hybrid work environment. You will be expected to report to the Olympia office on your first day of employment for onboarding. Salary The annual starting range of compensation for these positions is between $71,500 - $79,000 depending upon qualifications . The full position salary range for these positions are $71,500 - $86,500 . Hiring supervisors can negotiate employment offers with candidates for this recruitment within the boundaries of the starting salary range based on a formulaic approach. The position range is the broader range the newly hired person can expect their salary to grow during their tenure in the position. Salary ranges will increase when future legislatively approved general wage increases for non-represented state employees occur.

Duties

Some of your duties include:

  • Arranges for the development and distribution of meeting summaries.
  • Finalizes meeting agendas, prepares, and delivers presentations to the boards, and provides follow-up on action items.
  • Facilitates and assists with board, subcommittee, executive committee, or workgroup discussions as needed.
  • Assists with the preparation and filing of mandatory reports.
  • Responsible for organizing all meeting logistics for in-person board meetings, including venue rentals, catering, and lodging.
  • Serves as a point of contact for the boards; Responsible for the tracking, recording, and vacancy filling for board member terms.
  • Prepares and updates boards' bylaws/handbooks in coordination with the Boards Team.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Competencies:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience of providing senior-level administrative support to a board or commission, or other experience coordinating public meetings or large event planning.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Competencies:
  • An Associate's degree or above in natural resources, project management, business administration, public administration or closely allied field.
  • Experience working with tribal, federal, state and local government, NGO, business sector, and other partners
  • At least three years of board management experience, with public sector and project management experience
  • Understands all aspects of the Open Public Meeting Act, including sound equipment set-up, operation, and recording.
Conditions of the Working Environment: With or without accommodations, I am willing and able to:
  • Report for in-person work for at least 8 hours per week or 32 hours per month at the office in Tacoma, Olympia office, or our Seattle drop-in location.
  • Work in a modern hybrid work environment with access daily to high-speed internet that allows for video conferencing and a virtual private network (VPN) connection.
  • Sitting and working at a computer for most work hours.
  • Work in a tobacco-free, drug-free, and alcohol-free environment.
  • Work a 40-hour work week (A flexible work schedule may be considered upon request and supervisory approval, after an initial review period).
  • Occasionally work in excess of 40 hours per week and/or to adjust normally scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, to meet program needs and critical deadlines.
  • Occasionally travel throughout the state, which may include overnight stays, as required, while performing the duties of this position.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding information accessed or discussed while performing the duties of the position.
  • Interact and work with partners and staff in a positive, friendly, and supportive manner that meets the needs and standards of the office and the agency.
  • Permanently reside in Washington state throughout employment and available to report in person at Puget Sound agency offices and meetings on a weekly basis. If the successful candidate is currently living outside of Washington, relocation must occur within 30 days of the appointment date.
