Relationships Reports to Manager. Essential Functions Acts as a maintenance advocate, coordinating daily schedule, removing barriers and enabling maintenance to run optimally Serves as coach and technical mentor for maintenance technicians Execute process confirmation of maintenance standards used on shift and work with process team to find ideas to proactively improve quality and compliance Coach maintenance Event Response process Visualize/track events and actions Confirm maintenance technicians understand and follow processes Check that solutions are verified to work and shared across shifts Manage development plan for maintenance technicians on shift Execute shift maintenance plan, review and close work orders Ensure maintenance work is properly documented in SAP and log-books Implements process improvements Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties Other accountabilities as assigned Physical Requirements Move equipment & supplies weighing up to 33 pounds using various body positions Operate & inspect manufacturing equipment using hands Work on feet for up to a 12-hour shift May require corrected vision to 20/25 May require color vision Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, work at elevated heights or within confined spaces for inspections, repairs, maintenance of equipment Work in hazardous, odorous, loud or cold environments as required, wearing appropriate protective equipment (e.g., latex gloves, hearing protection) Occasionally work outdoors in weather conditions Pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks (no valid driver’s license required) Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field of study from an accredited university required Associate’s Degree in a technical field from an accredited university with minimum seven years of maintenance or manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment (preferred) High School Diploma or equivalent with nine years of maintenance or manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment (preferred) Minimum five years of maintenance or manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment Leadership experience (direct or indirect) preferred Knowledgeable in high-speed or automated systems (Filling, Formulation, Inspection, Assembly, Bulk manufacturing, Packaging, Utilities, HVAC) preferred Experience driving process improvements/design using systematic methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred Proven expertise in mentoring/developing, change management, planning/organizing, managing execution, and revising work plans for complex problems solved by cross-functional teams preferred Equal Opportunity Employer Novo Nordisk is an equal opportunity employer.
