Advanced Network Engineer

Position Description & Qualifications Serco is excited to support the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) contract. The primary purpose of this contract is to ensure that the Department of the Air Force (DAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and External Partner Agencies maintain cutting-edge Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities that are secure, interoperable, and efficient. The contractor will provide comprehensive support and innovative solutions that enable the continuous evolution and enhancement of M&S systems, ensuring that the DAF and DoD can effectively prepare for and execute their missions with the highest level of readiness and lethality. Must have an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance. To be successful in this role you will have: U.S. citizenship Must have an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance The possibility to telecommute (Full-time) A Bachelor’s degree (or additional years of relevant experience in technical, engineering, cybersecurity, or program management fields in lieu of degree) 8 years of experience Prior experience supporting AFMS, or other DoD M&S programs is strongly desired The ability to travel 10% Responsible for the overall system design. Documents development requirements for database, applications, and operation system environment. Consults with end users to test and debug applications to meet client needs. Serves as expertise in all aspects of designing and application development. May conduct training to IT Staff. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field`s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Company Overview Serco Inc.
