Role Description The Information Technology Project Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for leading and delivering IT projects that support transportation security initiatives. This position oversees the full project lifecycle, including scoping, planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and risk management, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards. Day-to-day tasks include managing project plans, tracking milestones, coordinating cross-functional teams, facilitating meetings, and communicating status updates to stakeholders. The role also involves collaborating with technical teams to translate requirements into actionable tasks, addressing issues and dependencies, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality expectations. The IT Project Manager will continuously evaluate project performance, recommend improvements, and contribute to best practices in IT project and program management.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate project data, identify risks, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Candidates should possess Program Management and Project Planning skills to oversee multiple initiatives, define scope, manage timelines, and coordinate resources.
- Candidates should possess Information Technology knowledge to understand systems, infrastructure, and software solutions relevant to security and transportation environments.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to engage stakeholders, prepare clear documentation, and facilitate meetings across remote and cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should ideally have experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), familiarity with IT governance and security standards, and proficiency with project management tools.
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum credentials are beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project needs is expected.
