IT Support SpecialistAs a global engineering solutions firm that plays a leading role in the areas of plants, architecture and asset management, Hyundai Engineering is expanding into renewable energy to build a sustainable future. In the area of plants, the company provides total solutions for front-end engineering design (FEED) as well as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).We are seeking a customer-focused and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our project. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, and hands-on support by installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading the devices.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport with local server hardware, operating systems, network infrastructure, and telephone by delivering hands-on support through troubleshooting incidents with customers via phone or virtual communicationAssist with the design and implementation of IT policies and procedures for managing computer systems and operations based on corporate guidelines/control framework.Work on major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outagesResolve problems in a timely manner with a solution focused mindsetTake corrective actions and/or escalates incidences to reduce service down timeCollaborate with Senior IT Manager to manage and maintain network infrastructurePerform other duties as assignedQualificationsAssociate's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related area2+ years of progressive experience in IT support center or help deskKnowledge of computer hardware, software, and networksAdvanced performance analysis and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of teamEffective communication and organizational skillsPreferredBilingual (Korean / English) communication and documentation skillsMicrosoft or other relevant certificationAdditional InformationMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S.Weekend work may be required depending on the project schedulePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
