Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for Medical Oncology.

As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Shift: Nights

Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

License and Certification

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Education

• RN-Associate's Degree, or
• RN-Bachelor's Degree, or
• RN-Diploma, or
• RN-Master's Degree

We are a 16-bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care for Solid Tumor Oncology, Hematology Oncology, and Surgical Oncology patients.

• As an RN on this unit, some of the services you will provide are as follows: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy drug administration (Certification required after 6-months of hire.)
• Pre/Post-Surgical Care• Hospice and Palliative Care
• Sickle Cell Management
