Real Estate Accountant

Location: Aventura, FL | Full-Time | In Office Compensation: $65,000-75,000 A growing commercial real estate company in Aventura is seeking a hands-on Real Estate Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting functions for a portfolio of commercial properties. This is a strong opportunity for a property accountant who wants greater ownership, direct exposure to leadership, and the ability to grow into a more senior accounting role as the organization expands. Responsibilities Support and manage the monthly accounting close for assigned properties Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Produce accurate monthly property-level financial statements Maintain the general ledger and investigate account discrepancies Handle rent billing, tenant account reconciliations, and collections support Prepare CAM reconciliations and annual tenant true-ups Complete bank reconciliations and assist with cash management Review leases and support property and lease accounting Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Support the onboarding of newly acquired or managed properties Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal processes Qualifications 2 or more years of accounting experience Experience in commercial real estate, property management, or real estate accounting Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations Understanding of property-level financial statements and general ledger accounting Experience with CAM reconciliations, tenant billing, or lease accounting preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Experience with Yardi Voyager or another property-accounting platform is a plus Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Comfortable working independently in a growing, entrepreneurial environment Willing and able to work in the Aventura office five days per week Why Consider This Opportunity?
