Junior Accountant

About Atrium: What you do matters. Client Overview: Our client, a growing real estate company, is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their Accounting team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $60k - $70k Position Overview: This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build a long-term career in accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, hardworking, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant: Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with account reconciliations. Process accounts payable, including invoice entry and payment support. Assist with general accounting functions, journal entries, and month-end close activities. Retrieve, sort, and distribute incoming mail and accounting-related correspondence. Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with data entry, filing, and other administrative accounting duties. Support the accounting team with special projects and additional responsibilities as needed. Communicate professionally with vendors and internal team members to resolve accounting-related inquiries. Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant: Internship or prior accounting experience is a plus, but not required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and positive attitude. Excellent communication and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant: Internship or entry-level experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or finance. Interest in building a long-term career within the real estate industry. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
