The Senior Quality Engineer / Test Lead is a senior hands-on quality role responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing end-to-end test coverage across complex, multi-party integration programmes. The role has a strong focus on data integration, reconciliation testing, and finance/accounting system assurance, ensuring that data flows correctly across transformation layers, integration platforms, and downstream finance systems.

This role requires strong ownership, the ability to work across multiple teams and vendors, and the confidence to challenge coverage gaps, drive quality evidence, and support go/no-go decisions for business-critical releases.

What you'll be doing

• Own and drive end-to-end test coverage for complex integration flows across multiple systems, teams, and vendors

• Design business-critical E2E test scenarios covering customer journeys, data flows, transformation rules, finance postings, reconciliation points, and downstream accounting outputs

• Lead testing activities for data integration and finance reconciliation, ensuring correctness, completeness, and auditability of data across source and target systems

• Validate data flowing through transformation layers, data platforms, APIs, batch processes, event-driven integrations, and finance/accounting systems

• Perform hands-on test execution where required, including SQL-based data validation, reconciliation checks, defect investigation, and evidence gathering

• Coordinate with multiple delivery parties, including eCommerce, data, integration, finance, vendor, and reporting teams, to ensure agreed quality coverage is delivered

• Define and manage Quality Contracts with autonomous teams, making sure ownership, scope, test evidence, and residual risks are clear

• Identify test coverage gaps, integration risks, data quality issues, and reconciliation defects across distributed systems

• Produce clear and defensible quality evidence to support release readiness and go/no-go decisions

• Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to explain quality status, risks, dependencies, and remediation actions

• Support defect triage and root cause analysis across complex integration landscapes

• Promote risk-based testing, data-driven validation, and continuous improvement in quality engineering practices

• Contribute to quality strategy, test planning, reporting, and governance for enterprise-scale programmes

What you'll bring along

• Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Finance Systems, or equivalent working experience

• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience as Test Lead, Integration Test Lead, Data Test Lead, or similar roles

• Strong experience leading or contributing to complex, multi-party integration programmes

• Proven hands-on experience in end-to-end testing across distributed systems, APIs, data platforms, batch jobs, event-driven flows, and downstream enterprise systems

• Strong data integration and reconciliation testing experience, ideally involving finance, accounting, billing, payments, loyalty, travel, retail, or enterprise reporting systems

• Good SQL skills and ability to query, compare, validate, and investigate data across multiple sources

• Experience validating source-to-target data flows, transformation logic, mapping rules, aggregation, reconciliation, exceptions, duplicates, missing records, timing issues, and data quality defects

• Ability to design E2E test scenarios from business processes, technical flows, integration designs, and acceptance criteria

• Experience working with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and autonomous delivery teams

• Strong defect management experience, including triage, root cause analysis, prioritisation, and tracking through to resolution

• Ability to produce clear test evidence, quality reporting, and risk summaries for senior stakeholders

• Balanced technical depth and business understanding, especially around data accuracy, financial impact, and audit-sensitive processes

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Excellent English verbal and written skills
