Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the frequency, intensity, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate and implement personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support client progress.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.

• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care.

• Stay informed on developments in mood disorder research to enhance treatment approaches.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, many of whom may be facing significant life challenges. You will work with clients who may be dealing with trauma, economic hardship, or social isolation, including vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. By understanding their backgrounds and experiences, you will provide compassionate care tailored to their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
