Salary $60,000-70,000 Relocation Assistance Provided Location Beaver Dam, WI Schedule Monday through Friday, days/evenings. Rotating weekends and holidays. Job Summary As the Sous Chef, you will manage the culinary department for a 30‑Bed Acute Care Hospital and a 60‑Bed Long Term Care unit, including homebound meals and two community‑based senior residential facilities. You will develop daily menus, supervise the preparation and cooking of food items and garnishments, and work with the Executive Chef to create new menus and assist with ordering. This role may involve supervising hourly associates and providing catering services for on‑site retail cafés and events. Key Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account. Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus. Produce and execute catering events. Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and the culinary team. Preferred Qualifications A.S. or equivalent experience. Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training. Catering experience is a plus. High‑volume, complex foodservice operations experience – highly desirable. Institutional and batch‑cooking experience helpful. Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, e‑mail, and the Internet. Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities. ServSafe certification – highly desirable.
