About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Philanthropy to serve as the chief philanthropy officer and lead all fundraising, donor engagement, and philanthropic strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing vision and leadership for philanthropic initiatives, developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, and leading activities across various giving channels. This role requires a strategic, relationship-driven leader with a strong commitment to the organization's mission and values, and a proven track record in securing major and planned gifts. The Vice President of Philanthropy will also be tasked with managing a team, fostering a culture of generosity, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the philanthropic program. Applicants for the Vice President of Philanthropy position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' of experience in fundraising leadership. The role demands exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, as well as a commitment to ethical fundraising practices and responsible management of charitable resources. Experience in senior living, healthcare, faith-based organizations, or related nonprofit environments is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and developing high-performing teams, collaborating with various stakeholders, and leading comprehensive fundraising programs and strategic initiatives. A CFRE or CFRM certification is a plus, and experience in leading major capital or comprehensive campaigns is also desirable.
