Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students within a dynamic educational setting. This hybrid role is ideal for a knowledgeable Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) with assistive technology expertise to work with a specific caseload at the high school level.

You’ll engage on-site two hours per week, providing direct and indirect AT support to a student using specialized eye gaze technology (Accent device). Your skills will make a measurable difference as you program, calibrate, and maintain the AT device, while collaborating with the educational team to ensure the student’s learning and communication needs are met. Additionally, you will conduct evaluations for private school referrals as needed. The assignment spans from ASAP through May 26, 2027, with a consistent, part-time schedule of 20 hours per week.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid TX Speech-Language Pathology license (Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP (ASHA), if hours are logged
• Demonstrated experience with assistive technology, especially eye gaze systems and Accent devices
• Previous school-based or pediatric caseload experience preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to provide both onsite (minimum 2 hours/week) and remote services

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct onsite AT support to one student at the high school, addressing unique communication needs
• Program, calibrate, and maintain the Accent eye gaze device
• Serve as a resource for the student’s educational team, delivering consultation and professional guidance
• Conduct speech-language and AT evaluations for private school referrals
