This role is NOT open to corp2corp (C2C) or corp2hire (C2H).Position SummaryBAE Systems in Maple Grove, Minnesota is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to support its Pilot and Pre-Production Lines. This position will perform electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and production support for electronic products, ordnance products, and associated support equipment.The technician will perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies while working from engineering drawings, sketches, and written or verbal work instructions. This role will also assist with troubleshooting, continuous improvement activities, and transitioning products into production.This is a 100% on-site position. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electro-mechanical assembly of electronic products, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, ordnance products, and support equipment.Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations in a pilot, prototype, or pre-production environment.Read and interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings, sketches, and work instructions.Perform precision assembly and fabrication activities requiring strong fine motor skills and a high level of accuracy.Use electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools, and standard hand tools.Conduct testing using oscilloscopes, meters, and other electronic test equipment.Generate and document test data and results.Assist with troubleshooting electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and systems.Support the identification and resolution of assembly and production issues.Work with team members to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.Assist with transitioning new or updated products into production.Provide feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams to support design, fabrication, assembly, and test improvements.Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all applicable safety requirements and policies.Work additional hours, including weekends, when required to support production needs.Required Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.Proficiency using electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools, and hand tools.Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and meters.Strong mechanical aptitude.Precision and fine motor skills necessary for micro- and nano-scale fabrication, assembly, and testing with extremely low defect requirements.Familiarity with J-STD-001 requirements.Ability to accurately document and report test results.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.Ability and willingness to work additional hours and weekends as needed.Must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.Preferred SkillsExperience troubleshooting electronic and electro-mechanical systems.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues.Experience operating Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment (ATE).Training or proficiency with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 manufacturing and quality requirements.Training or proficiency with J-STD-001 requirements.Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).Ability to provide technical feedback supporting design, fabrication, assembly, and testing improvements.Education & ExperienceCandidates must meet one of the following requirements:2-year technical degree, orMinimum of 2 years of technician experience performing related work in a production or prototype environment.Candidates with both a 2-year technical degree and at least 2 years of relevant technician experience are preferred.EOE (including Disability/Veterans) HRU Technical Resources
