Billing Specialist

Location: Louisville, CO Job Location: Hybrid 3 days on-site | 2 days remote What you’ll do: Prepare and send medical claims to insurance companies, follow up through the billing cycle, and manage payment resolution. Learn billing software and process flows. Adhere to process flows and standard operating procedures. Make productive calls to insurance plans to obtain claim/appeal status. Accurately record information in patient files. Submit claims and appeals to insurance companies. Communicate with and answer patient billing questions and concerns. Collaborate with internal departments. Perform other duties as assigned. What you’ll bring: Strong communication skills – oral and written. Computational and basic math skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to adapt to emerging situations and respond with urgency. Handle confidential financial and personal information appropriately. Experience coordinating with internal departments. High school diploma required. Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience, including knowledge of claims processing, denials, and appeals. 1–3 years of medical/laboratory experience preferred.
