Full-Time | $115,000–$130,000 Benefits: 100% employer-paid employee medical, dental, vision and life insurance 403(b) retirement plan paid vacation and holidays paid sick leave complimentary tickets to select Sunset Presents performances Sunset Cultural Center is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and highly motivated Development Director to lead our fundraising program and help build the philanthropic resources needed to sustain and strengthen Sunset Center for the next generation. As Sunset Center enters its second century, we are launching Century of Creativity (1926–2031) , a five-year Centennial Campaign celebrating our history while building a strong foundation for the future. The Opportunity This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for annual fundraising, major gifts, grants, corporate sponsorships, planned giving, endowment growth, and the Centennial Campaign. We are looking for an accomplished fundraiser who can: Build meaningful relationships with donors and prospects Clearly articulate Sunset Center's impact and philanthropic needs Develop compelling cases for support and confidently make the ask Build and manage a strong fundraising pipeline Work collaboratively with staff, trustees, volunteers, and community partners Use data and Tessitura to track progress and guide strategy While an existing community network is valuable, we are looking for someone whose fundraising ability is based on strategy, relationship building, follow-through, and results—not simply an existing list of contacts. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will have: 5–7 years of progressively responsible nonprofit fundraising experience Demonstrated success raising funds for annual operations Experience with major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and donor stewardship Strong relationship-building and solicitation skills Experience working with nonprofit boards and volunteers Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through Experience with Tessitura or a comparable donor CRM Capital or comprehensive campaign experience is a plus, but experience raising annual operating support is essential.
