The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in managing the procurement process for manufacturing and product-based operations. Utilizing tools such as SAP MM, this role focuses on supplier selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order management to ensure efficient sourcing and inventory coordination. The specialist also conducts market research and vendor evaluations to optimize procurement strategies and support organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Select and evaluate suppliers to meet company quality and cost standards
• Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable conditions
• Manage purchase orders and oversee timely delivery of materials
• Coordinate inventory levels to ensure availability without overstocking
• Conduct market research to identify trends and alternative sourcing options
• Evaluate vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Generate and maintain procurement reports for management review

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement
