Interim Controller
Hybrid onsite, Winston-Salem, NC

As Interim Controller, you will serve as the senior financial leader for our client, responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and control processes. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong analytical expertise, and the ability to partner with the business to drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP
• Establish, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across the business unit
• Lead month-end and close processes, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Analyze financial results and investigate significant trends and variances; communicate insights and recommendations to leadership
• Provide oversight of AP, AR, payroll, tax, cost, and inventory accounting functions
• Deliver daily and/or weekly operational reporting, including margin analysis, variance analysis, and performance metrics
• Partner with operational leaders to provide financial guidance tied to business activities and outcomes
• Assist with budget development, forecasting, and preparation of monthly budget-to-actual variance analyses
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, driving accountability and process efficiency
