Construction Estimator

We're partnered with a reputable commercial general contractor in Houston that is looking to bring on an Estimator due to continued growth. This individual will play a key role in the preconstruction process, working on a variety of ground-up commercial projects from initial pricing through bid submission. The company has a strong backlog of work and a solid reputation in the Houston market. Responsibilities Prepare quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates for commercial ground-up projects Review plans, specifications, and bid documents Evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Develop budgets and conceptual estimates during preconstruction Work closely with operations teams to ensure accurate project handoff Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities Help prepare bid proposals and participate in project interviews when needed Qualifications 3+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor Ground-up commercial construction experience is required Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Strong communication and organizational skills Project Experience Preferred Industrial If you're interested in learning more, feel free to reach out directly for a confidential conversation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
