Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus Direct message the job poster from TRS Staffing Solutions Position Overview: The Estimator will serve as the lead point of responsibility during the pre-construction phase, ensuring that all estimating activities align with project goals and company standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost structures. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate quantity take-offs. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details. Evaluate subcontractor bids and vendor quotes for completeness and competitiveness. Develop and maintain historical cost databases to support future estimates. Identify cost-saving opportunities in materials, methods, and construction techniques. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in multi-sector projects (residential, commercial, industrial). Strong understanding of construction documents and building systems. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Preferred Skills: Experience with construction defect restoration or forensic estimating. Familiarity with building envelope systems and high-performance construction practices. Knowledge of local Houston market pricing and subcontractor networks. Keys / Requirements: estimators that have 3+ years experience with envelope and restoration work, either from general contractors or subcontractors.
