Project Manager Position OverviewUnder limited supervision performs Project Manager job functions as assigned by Senior Management. Typical job responsibilities include primary responsibility for assisting and supporting senior management by ensuring all site projects are consistently controlled in a manner that is safe, cost effective and fully compliant with Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, LLC Project procedures and all contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned: Plans, schedules and organizes the work to ensure optimal utilization of employees and compliance with all contract requirements, quality standards and budgetary guidelinesEnsures staffing levels of supervised personnel are maintained in a manner which allows the effective execution of the assigned scope of work at all timesInstructs employees on work methods and performance expectationsProvides leadership and motivation to subordinate personnelMaintains close working relationship with senior management and/or operational management in ensuring Project Management duties are being properly executed and the needs of the company are metInterfaces with groups inside and outside the organization, senior management, other locations, auditors and client representativesDevelop or review/update of various plans, policies or procedures as neededResponsible for personnel actions and performance appraisalsAdministratively responsible for the total fiscal and administrative functions of a project including office services, contract administration, procurement, warehousing, accounting, timekeeping, payroll and document controlInterfaces with project and client management to ensure Project Manager functions operate within project standard practice and procedures and contract provisionsCoordinates the work activity of all involved subcontractors and/or crafts to ensure efficiency and safe performance of the entire project mission Responsible for assigned project management and supervision personnel for performance of all field construction activities in conformance with plan, specifications, schedules and cost estimatesParticipates in business development activitiesResponsible for the total operation of all assigned projectsAdministers contract in accordance with policies and procedures for the maximum benefit of the project and clientManages assigned projects and administrative systemsPlans, develops, coordinates and directs all activities related to service functions within one or more medium to large projectsBudgetary responsibilityProvides technical and/or functional support to the Project Management teamPerform duties complex in natureOther job-related duties as assignedMaintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner. When performing management duties, has responsibility for subcontractors and project personnel; ensuring they comply with FRNP safety and quality policies and procedures and practice safe work habitsActively participates in Safety Work Groups Minimum RequirementsBA/BS degree in a related field and 9 years of project managerial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Typical experience ranges from 9 - 12 years.Strong interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of and experience with construction civil and structural Project Management Best PracticesAttention to detailExpert PC skills including Microsoft softwareWorking ConditionsWork in an office at a normal environmental restoration atmosphere (outdated and/or abandoned facilities or industrial field environments). May also work at off-project sites representing the organization at various types of locations throughout the community for business purposes. Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents or hazardous and radioactive materials if proper safety procedures are not followed.Ability to perform sedentary to light work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (any exertion of force/lifting greater than 45 pounds requires usage of a two person "buddy system"), non-repetitive, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly, repetitive; performing such activities as lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, grasping, kneeling, stooping, reaching.Ability to perform primary office duties including heavy computer usage.In some cases, radiological training may be required.The statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the person assigned to this position.
