Account Manager

Rove is seeking a vibrant, hungry, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join its team as an Account Manager, based in or near Costa Mesa, CA . Account Managers work on a full-time, exempt, W-2 basis, typically traveling within a 100-mile radius of their home. Account Managers are expected to work up to 40+ hours a week and will be eligible for gas reimbursements, car stipend, and medical, dental, and vision benefits (following a waiting period). As an Account Manager, you will be the face of our brand to our valued customers and in-market strategic partners. By educating customers about our brands and products, you will have the opportunity to grow your profile in the fast-growing California cannabis market and gain a wealth of sales and marketing intelligence by attending industry events, networking with industry leaders, and using your charm and personality to evangelize Rove in CA. The best qualified candidates will have an outgoing personality, share a genuine interest in Rove’s strains and products, and be willing to be coached by Rove’s Sales & Marketing team. Key Responsibilities Work with the marketing and sales team to develop customer success strategies to drive sales and growth within existing accounts. Make cold calls and reach out to dispensaries and delivery services in your region. Successfully execute vendor days by promoting and educating customers and users about Rove products, Rove’s company ethos, services, pricing, and events. Make recommendations to dispensaries and other retailers to improve promotional activities and ensure brand integrity. As needed, manage product event kits, materials, and other visual merchandising. Learn and perform inventory counts at dispensaries and customers carrying Rove products while on the road. Serve as the face of the brand and confidently share Rove’s core values and mission. Foster long-term relationships with staff and retail buyers. Develop sales strategies and meet sales quotas. Develop and execute regional marketing and promotional strategies and tactics. Stay current on company offerings and industry trends. Manage and address customer needs and issues. Utilize CRM to maintain a record of all activity. Demonstrate fluency, enthusiasm, and expertise on Rove products. Proactively learn about Rove’s products and share knowledge with customers. Be a role model for our values of respect, integrity, teamwork, compassion, and accountability. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed (with notice). Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks. Preferred Skills & Experience Commitment to excellent customer service. 1–3 years of experience in account management and/or outside sales preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong verbal communication and presentation skills. Ambitious, self-motivated, with a strong sense of integrity. Proven critical thinking skills and flexibility while performing job duties. Ability to work independently with strong follow-through. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for daily travel to customers. Physical Requirements Light to moderate lifting (25–75 lbs); heavier weights with assistance. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Repetitive motions and understanding of lab equipment. Ability to work at a fast pace with frequent interruptions and both physical and mental demands. Rove offers a competitive range of benefits that are often hard to come by in the cannabis industry. Our current benefits package for all Account Managers includes: Reimbursement for all business expenses incurred while on company business (reimbursed weekly). Reimbursement for gas purchased while on company business (reimbursed weekly). Monthly stipend to cover car expenses associated with company business. Unlimited PTO for all salaried full-time employees. 40 hours of sick and bereavement leave annually. Paid training to enhance skills and support professional growth. Option to work from home as required by role and company needs. Access to discounts on branded merchandise and swag. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, with the option for a Health Savings Account or a health stipend with proof of valid coverage. Optional additional coverage including pet insurance, life insurance, and accident insurance (employee cost). Traditional and Roth 401(k) accounts (following a 60-day waiting period).
