Job Opening - Forklift Operator & Yard Organizer Join a Team That Keeps Materials Moving & Customers Happy

• We're looking for a dependable Forklift Operator & Yard Organizer to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you'll help organize inventory, pull customer orders, operate forklifts, and support deliveries in a fast-paced yard environment.

• Pull, organize, and stage materials for customer orders and deliveries.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move inventory throughout the yard.
• Load customer vehicles, trailers, and delivery trucks with accurate orders.
• Retrieve materials from multiple yard locations and ensure orders are complete and ready for shipment.
• Assist with deliveries by helping load and unload materials at customer locations when needed.
• Maintain organized inventory and ensure products are stored properly for easy access.
• Perform general yard duties including lifting, carrying, sorting, and organizing materials.
• Keep the yard, warehouse, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Work closely with team members to meet customer needs and maintain efficient operations.

• At least 6 months of experience in general labor, construction, manufacturing, warehouse, landscaping, or a related hands-on environment.
• Minimum 6 months of forklift operating experience.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and organize materials throughout the workday.
• Experience using basic hand tools and measuring tools.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively within a team environment.

• Experience in a lumber yard, building materials, construction supply, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Previous order-picking and inventory experience.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
• Construction knowledge.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks or trailers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grimes, IA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Grimes,IA.
